暴雪宣布一个新的即时战略游戏：Warcraft: Heroes of Azeroth(魔兽争霸：艾泽拉斯英雄传)。暴雪还开设了独立的论坛版面，工作人员们回答问题，在论坛里发布了一整天的蓝帖：“这是基于魔兽世界与魔兽争霸结合的即时战略游戏”。同时还有各种谣言满天飞：wowwiki改为meowwiki(猫猫百科);wowhead被暴雪收购……

当然，最大的谎言来自于暴雪宣布在《魔兽世界》中提供一个新装备——锡帽(Tinfoil Hat)。该装备需要10级以上玩家才可以使用，装备后提高10点护甲，提高10点精神，降低10点智力。锡帽最神奇的功能在于能够让你在游戏里打马赛克，能够防止其他用户看到你的装备细节——所有装备在查看状态下均为问号显示，除此之外，装备后还可以在在线列表中隐身，同时豁免他人一切思想控制魔法。按照暴雪的说法，锡帽将让你获得“高级精神能力”，看到普通人无法注意到的事物间细微的联系，发现真相——说得形象一点，你会有如同《越狱》中Michael那般的洞察力。

1.暴雪公布了WOW最新的英雄职业，吟游诗人，并放出了相关的截图和视频，玩家们可以像玩《吉他英雄》一样来操纵自己的人物，在体验爽快战斗的同时享受摇滚的疯狂。暴雪甚至还计划为这一新职业推出附带吉他控制器的专用键盘。

为了找出谁是艾泽拉斯最强的舞者，Blizzard 在《魔兽世界：巫妖王之怒》的大型更新“奥杜亚”尚未释出之际，已经忙着开发最新融合社交、竞技场竞争与音乐协调性于一身的舞蹈战斗系统(Dance Battle System)，预计未来游戏更新时就会正式实装上阵。舞蹈战斗将由玩家控制角色的跳舞动作，提供全新的玩家随机挑战乐趣。玩家一旦参与舞蹈战斗，执行舞蹈动作的介面将类似于《巫妖王之怒》中操作载具的方式，会有可自行定义的动作栏选项供玩家以滑鼠或热键选取可用的舞蹈动作，每个玩家只要在参赛前向负责舞蹈战斗的 NPC 进行对话即可参赛。只要玩家随着音乐、选择你想要的动作，角色就会按照指令翩翩起舞，在竞技场系统内，玩家可以组成舞团来参赛，此时默契与团队合作相当重要，玩家必须随着音乐、配合队友的动作，展现出最佳舞姿。组成舞团一起跳舞吧! 随时来场一对一舞蹈竞技也不错。
